THIS IS NOT A BURN-THE-BOATS CHALLENGE

Let Go of the Bar does not ask you to quit, leave, confront or overturn your life in seven days. It helps you reduce unnecessary danger while creating enough contact with reality to test what fear and overthinking have been predicting. The goal is not dramatic action. The goal is better evidence.

You do not need to become fearless. You need one responsible experience that gives you evidence.

WHY THIS GUIDE EXISTS

Let Go of the Bar grew from a lesson Mike Karame learned through direct experience. In kitesurfing, panic often makes a rider pull harder on the control bar, increasing the force that is dragging them. With an appropriate modern safety system, pushing the bar away or releasing it can depower the kite and restore control. The same pattern can appear in life: fear makes us grip harder, demand certainty and mistake control for safety.

Mike is the author of How to Lose a Life You Love: A Memoir of Conditioning, Collapse, and Sovereignty. He is certified in life coaching, hypnotherapy and NLP, and spent nearly a decade teaching kitesurfing. His work explores fear, familiarity, identity, loss and the return to inner authority.

IMPORTANT BOUNDARY

Let Go of the Bar is a reflective educational field guide. It is not therapy and does not provide medical, psychological, legal, financial or technical kitesurfing advice. Do not use it to justify unsafe, illegal, non-consensual or financially reckless action. Where health, safety, housing, finances, legal rights or another person’s wellbeing may be affected, seek appropriately qualified advice before acting.

READY TO TAKE ONE RESPONSIBLE STEP?

You do not need to change your whole life today. Choose one postponed change, work through the seven-day process and let direct experience give you better evidence.
